12th February National HARTAL - NCCPA Calls !!

 12th February  National HARTAL

NCCPA Calls for Affiliates to Joins

The Central Trade Unions and Independent Associations and Federations including the Confederation of CG Employees and the National Federation of Postal Employees (NFPE) have given the call for strike and Hartal on 12th February 2026. The only  Government supported BMS and its Unions did not join the Hartal.

The strike is mainly the demand for scrapping the Four labour codes enacted by the Government by amalgamating 29 Labour Codes won by the sacrifices of the Workers since Independence. The present rulers mainly the leader of the NDA Coalition is not associated with the Freedom movement and in fact collaborated with the alien rule for perpetuating the colonial empire. Therefore, the rulers do not know the pains undergone by the Working Class in enacting these labour codes. So the Government in line with the liberalization policies enacting the New Labour Codes to help the super exploitation of Corporates and Employers.

It is history that the Confederation and NFPE stayed away from 16.02.2024 Strike because the recognition was withdrawn by the Central Government for NFPE and P3 Union. But these organizations have supported the strike call by the Central Trade Unions on 9.7.2025. All General Secretaries except the P3 NFPE General Secretary signed and gave strike notice for 9th July. But the General Secretary P3 gave a letter to the Department of Po sts that they are not participating the strke! This action is clear betrayal and equal to strike breaking. The Strike is against the privatization spree of the Government in line with its liberalization policies.

.             This time the strike on 12th February was endorsed by the Federal Council of NFPE and the Confederation had already given the call for strike. So let us hope that the P3 NFPE will not react like it did on 9th July last year when the majority of P3 leaders abstained from Strike because the General Secretary did not support the strike!

The AIPRPA (All India Postal & RMS Pensioners Association did support the strike and wherever the Central TUs resorted to picketing of Central Government offices the NCCPA and AIPRPA activists courted arrest along with central TU Activists. This time also on 12th February 2026 the NCCPA / AIPRPA will whole heartedly support the strike and join the picketing along with Central TUs as called by the NCCPA.

We demand the Central Government to scrap all the anti-worker labor codes and measures of Privatization driven by the liberalization policies.
